The coat of arms of the Congregation

Coat of arms  of the Institute was inaugurated on St-Vincent de Paul in 1871. Father de Varax, vicar general, explained the different components in the Journal of the Congregation that he was writing at the time, he wrote that:

Slogan :

Omni modo Christus annuntietur – That in any case Christ is announced alludes to the many activities of zeal in works and to the single goal which is pursued by many means.

The sheaf of gold:

means the multitude of souls who need to be gathered and saved; by the wheat, the union of hearts.

By the cross:

is the rallying sign and the only tangible mark of our religious consecration.

By the heart:

recalls devotion to the Sacred Heart, sign of a fruitful apostolate, powerful weapon for the conquest of souls and one of the most precious traditions of the Institute

The blue coat of arms:

Marian devotion and protection.
