Burkina project 1 – Dedougou
Training in trades, with concrete leverage - The young gardeners of Dédougou, St-Vincent de Paul (in progress)

This formation is one of the four classes of the Religious of St Vincent de Paul in Dédougou: gardening, sewing, carpentry, breeding. The young gardeners of Dédougou follow theoretical and practical training over 6 months. At the end of this, they keep their tools and, before returning to their village, they receive a nest egg to acquire a small piece of land there which they will cultivate. Thus, the targeted “leverage effect” will be obtained: everyone will be able to feed their family, their village, ensure their independence and find their worthy place.

Action: We need to train more…
Your donations: With 150 €, you help to host one…
With 200 € more, you offer him his tools and savings for his land…
We are looking to raise €5,000 as a first step…
Help us train them
Thanks in advance for them…

Situation :
The Dédougou Center for Young Gardeners trains 22 young people in this work of the Religious of St Vincent de Paul. It is a question of providing them with a concrete job, of multiplying the capacity for survival of their families and their environment and of giving them back their dignity.

Among a few projects, that of training for professions in Dédougou (Burkina Faso) has a major advantage: Its leverage effect which consists in giving a locally sought-after profession…
Thus, the young person is validly launched in the active life, contributes solidly to create added value locally Motivating for us….
… and you ?
Help us to help them …
