Agricultural trade apprenticeship centers

In order to give young people a job that will allow them to meet their needs and those of their families, we are working to learn a job.

The J.J.D. (Young gardens of Dédougou) in the north-west of Burkina Faso benefit from a solid experience since they have been founded 40 years ago, in 1982. You learn about agriculture, animal husbandry, mechanics… In short, everything that can contribute to making these young people good farmers.
The training given to the J.J.D. allow the young people who receive them to become independent to feed their family and easily find work after training which is intended to be concrete and complete.

On the strength of this rich experience developed by the Religious of Saint-Vincent-de-Paul, the APJ-SVP Endowment Fund supports a similar project near Koubri (suburb of Ouagadougou, capital of Burkina Faso).

It’s about CAPaK project(Agro-Pastoral Center of Koubri), at the initiative of three young agricultural engineers from Burkina Faso. Helping them means encouraging the retention of these young graduates in the country, thus encouraging the development of this still very poor West African country.

patronage

The youth of Bukina-Faso badly need support. It is very difficult to live your childhood in a country affected by the poverty, the corruption and the terrorism.

Sponsorships offer the children who attend them a true haven of peace at the same time as they receive a solid education, where the family values, righteousness and tolerance are taught.

The patronages are also the place where the children from the most disadvantaged families are spotted and it is then that the structure developed by the Religious of Saint-Vincent-de-Paul who live close to families that they welcome, can respond pragmatically to the needs. The aid provided is thus more effective and providessustainable fruit.

Holiday camps

During the summer holidays, the operation of patronages is different. They welcome, every day, even more children and young people than usual.

Outings can be organized in small groups.

It is both a means of attraction for registration for patronage during the rest of the year and the solution for not to lose the benefit of all that has been received by the young person during the year.

Many parents come to help with summer camps . It is an additional way to integrate into the population and get to know the families better.
